GP® BLS-2700 coating resin is a liquid heat-reactive phenolic resin solution in ethanol for coatings of rigid metallic substrates. It provides excellent intercoat adhesion and is effective as a metal primer.

GP BLS-2700 coating resin is compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 175 Indirect Food Additives: Adhesives and Components of Coatings per 175.105 as a component of an adhesive and 175.300 as a resinous and polymeric coating. It also complies with 177.1210 as a component in closures with sealing gaskets for food containers.

  • It is recommended that heat-reactive GP BLS-2700 resin be stored in a dry place at temperatures at or below 50°F (10°C) to optimize shelf life. Storage in sunlight should be avoided. Storage life is dependent on your product’s formulation using GP BLS-2700 resin. This product should be stored and used in areas with good ventilation.
