Nexter® SC Miticide/Insecticide is a new, flowable formulation containing the active ingredient Pyridaben, which belongs to the chemical class Pyridazinone. Nexter SC is a a broad spectrum miticide/insecticide active against broad mites (Tarsonemidae), rust mites (Eriophyidae), pear psylla (Cacopsylla pyricola), aphids (Aphidoidea), whiteflies (Aleyrodidae), spider mites (Tetranychidae), and leafhopper nymphs (Cicadellidae).

  • It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons, either directly or through drift. Only protected handlers may be in the area during application. For any requirements specific to your state or tribe, consult the agency responsible for pesticide regulation.

Safety & Health

Hazards To Humans And Domestic Animals
  • Harmful if swallowed,inhaled or absorbed through the skin.Causes moderate eye irritation.Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Avoid breathing vapors or spray mist. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using thetoilet. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Applicators and other handlers must wear:

  • Long-sleeved shirt and long pants
  • Shoes plus socks
  • Waterproof gloves
  • Protective eye wear

Discard clothing and other absorbent materials that have been drenched or heavily contaminated with this product’s concentrate. Do not re-use them. Follow the manufacturer’s instructionsfor cleaning and maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry.

Engineering Controls
  • Engineering Controls Statement:When handlers use closed systems, enclosed cabs, or aircraft in a manner that meets the requirements listed in the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) for agricultural pesticides [40 CFR 170.240(d)(4-6)], the handler PPE requirements may be reduced or modified as specified in the WPS.
User Safety Recommendations

Users should:

  • Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, using the toilet.
  • Remove clothing immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing.
  • Remove PPE immediately after handling this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing.
Environmental Hazards
  • This pesticide is toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Do not apply directly to water or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high-water mark. Keep out of lakes, ponds, or streams. Do not contaminate water by cleaning of equipment or disposal of equipment washwaters. Do not apply when weatherconditions favor drift from target area. Drift or runoff from treated areas may be hazardous to fish in adjacent sites. This product is highly toxic to bees. Do not apply this product or allow it to drift to blooming crops or weeds while bees are activelyforagingthe treatment area. Application early in the morning or at dusk is suggested
  • Do not allow contact with oxidizing agents. Hazardouschemical reaction may occur

Storage & Handling

Storage and Disposal
  • DO NOTcontaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal.
  • Pesticide Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from heat or open flame.
  • Pesticide Disposal: Pesticide wastes are acutely hazardous. Wastes resulting from this product may be disposed of on site or at an approved waste disposal facility. Improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray mix, or rinsate is a violation of federal law. If these wastes cannot be disposed of according to label instructions, contact the state agency responsible for pesticide regulation or the Hazardous Waste representative at the nearest EPA Regional Office for guidance.
  • Container Handling: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Offer for recycling, if available. Clean container promptly after emptying. Triple rinse as follows: Empty the remaining contents into application equipment or a mix tank and drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Fill the container 1/4 full with water and recap. Shake for 10 seconds. Pour rinsate into application equipment or a mix tank or store rinsate for later use or disposal. Drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Repeat this procedure two more times.
