Product Uses

HD-4675 was designed for topcoat applications on a wide variety of substrates, including concrete, metal, plastic and wood.

Product Applications
  • HD-4675 can be used as supplied or blended with acrylic emulsions for spray, dip or rotogravure applications.
  • It can be thickened with associative thickeners for knife-over-roll or similar methods

Technical Details & Test Data

Curing
  • Due to the co-solvent free nature of HD-4675, the addition of coalescing solvent is recommended to achieve optimal film formation.
  • In ambient-cured systems the addition of 5 - 10% coalescing solvent is suggested.
  • Less coalescing solvent is required in heat-cured systems to attain comparable film properties.
  • Typical drying temperatures and dwell times for aqueous coatings are sufficient to optimize film characteristics.
