General Information
  • AERO DYNE-AMIC®is a proprietary formulation of organosilicone surfactants, oils, emulsifiers, and buffering agents designed for use with insecticides and fungicides that are applied by aerial application. It may also be applied by ground application. AERO DYNE-AMIC®is an activator type adjuvant. The addition of AERO DYNE-AMIC®to a spray tank improves pesticideapplication by modifying the wetting and spreading characteristics of the applied spray mix. In addition, AERO DYNE-AMIC®acts as a buffer and can prevent the decomposition of those pesticide active ingredients that are affected by alkaline hydrolysis by adjusting the pH of alkaline water to a more favorable range. Optimum application and effects, however, can be influenced by the crop, pest, spray equipment, spray volume, pressure, droplet size, spray mixture, and environmental factors. Consequently, it is recommended that careful observations of the spray deposit be made and AERO DYNE-AMIC®rates be adjusted accordingly.

Applications & Uses

Directions for Use
  • FOR USE WITH PRODUCTS REGISTERED FOR: AGRICULTURAL, FORESTRY, INDUSTRIAL, MUNICIPAL, NON-CROPLAND, AND RIGHTS-OF-WAY.
  • Do not apply this product in such a manner as to directly or through drift expose workers or other persons. The degree of spray application drift hazards varies with type of pesticide, application conditions, and vegetation near the spray area. Drift minimization is the responsibility of the applicator. Always consult your local and state agricultural authorities for information regarding avoiding or minimizing spray drift. In addition, follow Precautionary Statements on accompanying pesticide label(s).The addition of a spray adjuvant to some pesticides, pesticide combinations, and/or fertilizers may cause phytotoxicity to the foliage and/or fruit of susceptible crops or non-targeted vegetation. Prior to the application of AERO DYNE-AMIC®to a spray mix, the user or applicator must have experience with the combination or must have conducted a phytotoxicity trial.
  • In most cases use enough AERO DYNE-AMIC®to allow for uniform deposition and wetting of the spray mix onto leaf surfaces without undue runoff,and/or to optimize pH conditions in the spray mix.
Uses

WHEN USED FOR WETTING AND SPREADING:

  • In 1 to 3 gallons of total spray per acre, use 2-3 ounces. This is equivalent to 0.50%-2.0% by volume, or 2 to 8 quarts/100 gallons of spray. In 4 to 10 gallons of total spray per acre, use 6-13 ounces. This is equivalent to 0.50%-1.0% by volume, or 2 to 4 quarts/100 gallons of spray. By ground, use 2 to 8 quarts per 100 gallons of spray
  • In spray applications greater than 10 gallons per acre, AERO DYNE-AMIC®should be used at a minimum of 0.50% by volume or 2 quarts per 100 gallons of spray mix.

WHEN USED AS A BUFFERING AGENT:

  • A minimum of 0.50% by volume or 2 quarts/100 gallons of water is recommended when AERO DYNE-AMIC®is used as a buffering agent. Generally, optimum pesticide activity is achievedwhen the spray mix is in the 4-7 pH range or slightly acidic. The use of a pH measuring device is recommended.
  • NOTE:The above use recommendations are considered to be adequate for most uses. Some pesticides, however, may require higher or lower rates for optimum effect. Follow all pesticide(s)label(s)directions when this occurs or monitor the spray and the effects and adjust the rates accordingly
  • NOTE:Do not add AERO DYNE-AMIC®to spray mixes that contain fixed copper fungicides, DSMA, sulphonyl urea herbicides, or any product that should not be mixed with acidic materials. Do not mix with oxidizing agents unless these materials are in solution. AERO DYNE-AMIC®may not economically lower the pH of a spray mix containing an alkaline buffer.
Mixing Guidelines
  • Prior to any pesticide application, all spray mixing and application equipment should be clean. Carefully observe all cleaning directions on the pesticide label. To prevent or minimize foaming, fill tank to 2/3 to 3/4 full of water and add an anti-foaming agent, such as FOAM BUSTER™ to the spray tank before other components are added.
  • Add pesticides and/or fertilizers as directed by label or in the following sequence
  1. Micronutrients and fertilizers
  2. Dry flowables and dispersible granules
  3. Wettable powders
  4. Flowables
  5. Water soluble pesticides
  6. Emulsifiable concentrates
  • Continue agitation
  • Add AERO DYNE-AMIC®and mix for 1 to 2 minutes with lower than normal agitation to minimize foam generation. Continue filling tank with the remaining amount of required water.
  • NOTES:NEVER add AERO DYNE-AMIC®directly to undiluted pesticides! For optimum results, spray mixes containing AERO DYNE-AMIC®should be applied within 36 hours of preparation.Terminology on this label is consistent withdefinitions approved by Subcommittee E-35.22 on Pesticide Formulations and Application Systems.
