General Information
  • CIDE WINDER®is a patent pending nonionic spray adjuvant designed to enhance the appli-cation and performance of pesticides, plant growth regulators, and nutritionals. The addition of CIDE WINDER®to a spray tank improves pesticide application by modifying the wetting, spreading, penetration, and deposition characteristics of the application.
  • CIDE WINDER®is an activator type adjuvant and can positively affect pesticide spray appli-cation and pesticide efficacy depending on product use rate. Optimum application and effects, however, can be influenced by the crop, pest, spray equipment, spray volume, pressure, droplet size, spray mixture, and environmental factors. Consequently, it is recommended thatcareful observations of the spray deposit be made and CIDE WINDER®rates be adjustedaccordingly

Applications & Uses

Directions for Use
  • FOR USE WITH PRODUCTS APPLIED IN: AGRICULTURAL, AQUATIC, FORESTRY,INDUSTRIAL, MUNICIPAL, NON-CROPLAND, RIGHTS-OF-WAY, AND OTHER USES
  • The addition of a spray adjuvant to some pesticides, pesticide combinations, and/or fertilizersmay cause phytotoxicity to the foliage and/or fruit of susceptible crops or non-targeted vege-tation. Prior to the application of CIDE WINDER®to a spray mix, the user or applicator musthave experience with the combination or must have conducted a phytotoxicity trial.

WHEN USED AS A WETTING, SPREADING, & DEPOSITION AGENT:

  • Ground:Use 2 – 3 pints per 100 gallons of spray mix or 0.25 – 0.375% by volume.
  • Air:Use 1 – 2 oz. per acre in spray volumes of 1 – 4 GPA. For spray volumes greaterthan 5 GPA, use 4 oz./acre.

WHEN USED FOR ABSORPTION AND PENETRATION ENHANCEMENT:

  • Ground:Use 4 – 8 pints per 100 gallons of spray mix or 0.5 – 1.0% by volume.
  • Air:Use 4 oz. per acre in spray volumes less than 5 GPA. For spray volumes greaterthan 5 GPA, use 5 oz./acre.

CAUTION:Do not add CIDE WINDER®to spray mixes that contain copper fungicides,DSMA, sulfur, or spinosad based insecticides. Do not mix with oxidizing agents unless thesematerials are in solution.

Mixing Guidelines
  • Prior to any pesticide application, all spray mixing and application equipment mustbe clean. Carefully observe all cleaning directions on the pesticide(s) label(s). Toprevent or minimize foaming, fill tank to 2/3 to 3/4 full of water and add an anti-foaming agent, such as FOAMBUSTER™to the spray tank before othercomponents are added.
  • Add pesticides and/or fertilizers as directed by label or in the following sequence :
  1. Micronutrients and fertilizers.
  2. Dry flowables and dispersible granules
  3. Wettable powders.
  4. Flowables.
  5. Water soluble pesticides.
  6. Emulsifiable concentrates
  • Continue agitation
  • Add CIDE WINDER®and mix for 1 to 2 minutes with lower than normal agitation tominimize foam generation. Continue filling tank with the remaining amount ofrequired water.
  • NOTES: NEVERadd CIDE WINDER®directly to undiluted pesticides! Pesticide and fertilizerproducts should be mixed in as much water as possible prior to the addition of CIDEWINDER®.CIDE WINDER®does not contain organosilicone surfactants.Terminology on this label is consistent with definitions approved by Subcommittee E-35.22 onPesticide Formulations and Application Systems under the jurisdiction of ASTM Subcommit-tee E-35
