Helena Agri-Enterprises Duce (HAE)

Helena Agri-Enterprises Duce (HAE) is a High Surfactant Oil Concentrate (HSOC), combines methylated seed oils (MSO) and nonionic surfactants (NIS) in one container. Designed for use with herbicides that require an oil or surfactant, Duce is a 60/40 MSO-based product, compatible with multiple tank mix partners. It is a soy oil-based product that spreads better than a standard MSO. Duce also helps improve spray tank clean-out.

General Information
  • DUCE® is a highly concentrated, multifunctional non-ionic MSO-based spray adjuvant developed as a penetrating surfactant concentrate with superior wetting and penetrating characteristics. DUCE® is designed as a replacement for non-ionic surfactants and crop oil concentrates in liquid spray mixtures. When used as directed,
  • DUCE® maximizes the activity and effectiveness of certain herbicides in post emergence applications. Therefore, care must be taken in treating sensitive crops during periods when plants are subjected to drought stress, high temperatures, and high humidity.

Applications & Uses

Application Technique
Directions for Use
  • Use DUCE® at a rate of 8-32 oz./acre or .375-.75 percent by volume as a replacement for non-ionic surfactants and crop oil concentrates. The high end of the recommended use rate may be necessary during periods when plants are subjected to extreme stress or weed populations. If volumes exceed 15 gallons per acre, then the percent by volume rates should be used.
  • The addition of a liquid fertilizer (28-32% nitrogen solution) may also be required to improve control under extreme environmental conditions. Always add DUCE last to the spray mixture and provide good agitation. Prior to use, read and follow all directions on this label and on the label of the pesticide being used. The pesticide manufacturer’s label for specific usages and restrictions have precedence over Directions for Use referred to on this label.

  • STORAGE: Store in original container only. Keep container tightly closed. Do not allow water to be introduced into the contents of this container. Do not store near heat or open flame. Do not store with oxidizing agents.
  • PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: Wastes resulting from the use of this product may be disposed of on site or at an approved waste disposal facility. Do not contaminate water sources by runoff from cleaning of equipment, disposal of equipment washwater or spray waste.
  • CONTAINER DISPOSAL: NON-REFILLABLE CONTAINER DISPOSAL: Do not reuse empty container. Triple rinse (or equivalent) during mixing and loading and add rinsate to spray tank. Recycling decontaminated containers is the best option of container disposal. The Agricultural Container Recycling Council (ACRC) operates the national recycling program. To contact your state and local ACRC recycler, visit the ACRC web page at www.acrecycle.org. Decontaminated containers may also be disposed of in a sanitary landfill. For help in chemical emergencies involving spill, leak, fire or exposure, call toll free 1-800-424-9300.
  • REFILLABLE CONTAINER: Refill this container with adjuvants only. Do not reuse this container for any other purpose. Cleaning the container before final disposal is the responsibility of the person disposing of the container. Cleaning before refilling is the responsibility of the refiller. To clean the container before final disposal, empty the remaining contents from the container into application equipment or mix tank. Fill the container about 10 percent full with water. Agitate vigorously or recirculate water with the pump for 2 minutes. Pour or pump rinsate into application equipment or rinsate collection system. Repeat this rinsing procedure two more times. If the container is not being refilled, return the container to the point of purchase.
