General Information
  • GROUNDED®is a specialized blend of surfactants and aliphatic hydrocarbons designed toenhance the deposition and absorption of both ground and aerial spray applications. Subjectto the cautionary statements set forth in the Directions for Use, GROUNDED®may be usedwith both pesticide and/or fertilizer products. The addition of GROUNDED®to a spray tankmay improve the spray application by reducing splash and subsequent scattering of the spraydroplets on equipment and nontarget surfaces. Efficacy of fertilizer and pesticide products maybe improved by increasing adsorption of the applied spray mix by soil resulting in a reducedpotential for leaching away of the active ingredient. GROUNDED®is particularly effective withsome herbicides in sandy soils that are low in organic content.GROUNDED®is compatiblewith all nozzles and has been shown not to negatively affect nozzle pattern. It may also be use-ful in increasing the rate and degree that the applied pesticides and/or fertilizers are absorbedby plant surfaces. GROUNDED®is particularly effective with some herbicides in sandy soilsthat are low in organic content. Optimum application and effects, however, can be influencedby the crop, pest, spray equipment, soil type, spray volume, pressure, droplet size, and envi-ronmental and other factors. Consequently, it is recommended that careful observations of thespray application be made and GROUNDED®rates adjusted accordingly.

Applications & Uses

Directions for Use
  • FOR USE WITH PRODUCTS REGISTERED FOR: AGRICULTURAL, AQUATIC,FORESTRY, INDUSTRIAL, MUNICIPAL, NON-CROPLAND, ORNAMENTAL, RIGHTS-OF-WAY, TURF AND OTHER USES
  • The addition of additives to some pesticides, fertilizers, and tank mixes may cause phytotoxi-city to the foliage and/or fruit of susceptible plants. Prior to the addition of GROUNDED®tofertilizers and pesticides where the addition of surfactants is not specifically recommended butnot prohibited by the manufacturer, the user or application advisor must have experience withthe combination or must have conducted a phytotoxicity trial.
  • For ground applications of GROUNDED®with ground applied pesticides, use 1 – 4 pints peracre in 5 – 30 gallons of spray.
  • For aerial applications of GROUNDED®, use 6 – 16 oz/acre. A minimum of 1.0% by volume isrecommended for Aerial and Low Volume spray applications.
  • DRIFTABLE FINE MINIMIZATION:For all applications – a minimum of 1.0% by volume (or1 gallon per 100 gallons of spray mix) must be used.
  • NOTE:The above use recommendations are considered to be adequate for most uses. Somepesticides, however, may require higher or lower rates for optimum effect. Follow the pesticidelabel directions when this occurs.
  • CAUTION:Do not mix oxidizing agents unless oxidizing agents are in solution
Mixing Guidelines
  • Prior to any pesticide application all spray mixing and application equipment must be cleaned.Carefully observe all cleaning directions on the pesticide label.
  • Fill spray tank one-half full with water and begin agitation. Add pesticides and/or fertilizers asdirected by labeling or in the following sequence:
  1. Dry flowables or water dispersible granules
  2. Wettable powders
  3. Flowables
  4. Solutions
  5. Emulsifiable concentrates \

and continue filling. Add GROUNDED®last and continue agitation.
