Helena Agri-Enterprises Justified (HAE)

Helena Agri-Enterprises Justified (HAE) increases droplet size and reduces driftable fines for a lower risk of off-target drift. With an oil-based formulation, the driftable fine reduction achieved with Justified is not affected by pump shearing. It decreases evaporation and improves deposition and coverage, delivering more ai to the target. Justified also decreases foam and has excellent compatibility with tank-mix partners and equipments. Justified is made with a renewable resource.

Applications & Uses

Applicable Crop
Directions for Use
  • FOR USE WITH PRODUCTS REGISTERED FOR: AGRICULTURAL, FORESTRY, INDUSTRIAL, MUNICIPAL, NON-CROPLAND, ORNAMENTAL, RIGHTS-OF-WAY, AND TURF. NOT FOR AQUATIC USE
  • The addition of an adjuvant to some pesticides or pesticide tank mix combinations may cause phytotoxicity to the foliage and/or fruit of susceptible crops. Prior to the addition of JUSTIFIED™ to spray tank mixes or prior to the use of JUSTIFIED™ with a pesticide or fertilizer, the user or application advisor must have experience with the combination or must have conducted a phytotoxicity trial.
  • JUSTIFIED™ may be applied by Ground, CDA, Aerial and other spray application equipment as recommended by pesticide labels. In most applications, a minimum of 1 quart/100 gallons of spray mix, or .25% by volume is recommended. For applications per acre, refer to the chart below:
Spray Volume/Acre Rate of JUSTIFIED™/Acre
2 Gallons ½ Oz
3 Gallons 1 Oz.
4 Gallons 1-½ Ozs.
5 Gallons 2 Ozs.
8 Gallons 2-½ Ozs.
10 Gallons 3 Ozs.
12 Gallons 4 Ozs
14 Gallons 5 Ozs
20 Gallons 6-½ Ozs

For spray application mixtures greater than 20 GPA – use 1 Quart of JUSTIFIED™ per 100 gallons.

NOTE: Do not apply this product in such a manner as to directly or through drift expose workers or other persons. Do not spray pesticides if conditions of thermal inversion exist, or if wind direction and speed may cause drift onto adjacent areas. Drift minimization is the responsibility of the applicator. Consult your local and state agricultural authorities for information regarding avoiding or minimizing spray drift. Applicators must follow pesticide label and/or local regulatory authority requirements and recommendations for minimizing spray application drift when using JUSTIFIED™.

CAUTION: Do not mix with oxidizing agents unless oxidizing agents are in solution.

Mixing Guidelines

Prior to any pesticide application all spray mixing and application equipment must be cleaned. Carefully observe all cleaning directions of the pesticide(s) label(s). Fill spray tank one-half full with water and begin agitation. Add pesticides as directed by labeling or in the following sequence:

  1. Dry flowables or water dispersible granules.
  2. Wettable powders
  3. Flowables
  4. Solutions
  5. Emulsifiable concentrates

Add JUSTIFIED™ last and continue agitation. Sound application technology must be followed when spraying pesticides

Uses

  AFTER USE

  • Spray equipment should be rinsed. Follow all clean-up precautions on label of pesticide used. Follow all recommended governmental procedures for disposal of pesticide spray solutions.

  • Wear chemical-resistant gloves, long-sleeved shirt and long pants, shoes plus socks when mixing or applying JUSTIFIED™
  • JUSTIFIED™ is an effective and easy to use spray drift reduction and deposition aid. When used at recommended rates, JUSTIFIED™ will reduce the formation of driftable fines, spray mixture evaporation, and spray droplet bounce while minimizing the generation of foam. JUSTIFIED™ is compatible with most water soluble, emulsifiable, and wettable powder pesticides, desiccants, defoliants, plant growth regulators, and fertilizer products when used at recommended rates. To assure compatibility, directions for preparing spray application mixtures must be followed.

Storage & Handling

Storage and Disposal
  • Store in original container only. Keep container tightly closed, do not allow water to be introduced into the contents of this container.
  • Do not contaminate water sources by runoff from cleaning of equipment, disposal of equipment washwaters or spray waste. Do not store near heat or open flame.
  • CONTAINER DISPOSAL: NON-REFILLABLE CONTAINER DISPOSAL:Do not reuse empty container. Triple rinse (or equivalent) during mixing and loading and add rinsate to spray tank. Recycling decontaminated containers is the best option of container disposal. The Agricultural Container Recycling Council (ACRC) operates the national recycling program. To contact your State and local ACRC recycler, visit the ACRC web page at www.acrecycle.org. Decontaminated containers may also be disposed of in a sanitary landfill. For help in chemical emergencies involving spill, leak, f ire or exposure, call toll free 1-800-424-9300.
  • REFILLABLE CONTAINER:Refill this container with adjuvants only. Do not reuse this container for any other purpose. Cleaning the container before final disposal is the responsibility of the person disposing of the container. Cleaning before refilling is the responsibility of the refiller. To clean the container before final disposal, empty the remaining contents from the container into application equipment or mix tank. Fill the container about 10 percent full with water. Agitate vigorously or recirculate water with the pump for 2 minutes. Pour or pump rinsate into application equipment or rinsate collection system. Repeat this rinsing procedure two more times. If the container is not being refilled, return the container to the point of purchase.
