General Information
  • ZAAR®is a specialized blend of methylated seed oils, surfactants, and water conditioning agents designed for use with a broad range of pesticides. ZAAR®is capable of adjusting spray application water to pH 4-5. At this range –water quality issues due tocarbonates/bicarbonates are addressed. The addition of ZAAR®to a spray tank improves pesticide application by modifying the wetting and deposition characteristics of the spray solution resulting in a more even and uniform spray deposit. ZAAR®can positively affect pesticide spray application and pesticide efficacy. Optimum application and effects, however, can be influenced by the crop, pest, spray equipment, spray volume, pressure, droplet size, spray mixture, environmental factors, and other factors. Consequently, it is recommended that careful observation of thespray deposit be made and adjuvant concentrations be adjusted accordingly.

Directions for Use
  • NOT FOR AQUATIC USEFOR USE WITH PRODUCTS REGISTERED FOR: AGRICULTURAL, FORESTRY, INDUSTRIAL, MUNICIPAL, NON-CROPLAND, RIGHTS-OF-WAY, AND OTHER USES.The addition of an adjuvant to some herbicides or pesticide tank mix combinations may cause phytotoxicity to the foliage and/or fruit of susceptible crops. Prior to the addition of ZAAR®to spray tank mixes or prior to the use of ZAAR®with a pesticide or fertilizer where an oil based adjuvant is not specifically recommended but not prohibited by the manufacturer, the user or application advisor must have experience with the combination or must have conducted a phytotoxicity trial.
  • ZAAR®may be applied by Ground, CDA,or Aerial equipment. In most applications, use enough ZAAR®to allow for uniform wetting and deposition of the spray onto plant surfaces without undue runoff.
  • GROUND APPLICATIONS: Use 1.0% by volume (1 gallon per 100 gallons of spray) or 1 pint per acre. AERIAL & LOW VOLUME CDA APPLICATIONS: Use 6-8 fluid ounces per 1-5 gallons of water per acre.BUFFERING & Ph ADJUSTMENT: For most applications –a use rate of .5-1.0% by volume will be sufficient.DRIFTMANAGEMENT:A Use Rate of 1.0% by volume (1 gallon per 100 gallons of spray).NOTE:Do not mix with oxidizing agents unless oxidizing agents are in solution.
Mixing Guidelines
  • Prior to any pesticide application all spray mixing and application equipment must be cleaned. Carefully observe all cleaning directions on the pesticide label.Fill spray tank one-half full with water and begin agitation. Add herbicides as directed by labeling or in the following sequence:
  1. Dry flowables or water dispersible granules
  2. Wettable powders
  3. Flowables
  4. Solutions
  5. Emulsifiable concentrates

and continue filling. Add ZAAR®last and continue agitation
