HALOX® Corrosion Inhibitors are effective against flash rusting and in-can corrosion, though the benefits of using these products does not end there. Our HALOX® Corrosion Inhibitors are ideally suited for high gloss, thin film, and clear coat applications. They also provide superior synergy when used in combination with inorganic corrosion inhibitors in traditional coatings. To achieve desired performance of your resin system proper selection of HALOX® Inhibitors is essential.


HALOX

LOPON® defoamers are highly effective solutions for interior and exterior emulsion paints and plasters, silicone resin paints, emulsion silicate paints and plasters, and adhesives. LOPON® E series defoamers are alternatives to silicone and mineral oil based products. Our selection includes products developed from bio-renewable raw materials.

HALOX® CW-22/221 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. It is not recommended for use in immersion or semi-immersion environments. HALOX® CW-22/221 is recommended for use in primer systems based on traditional solvent alkyd technology. It can effectively be formulated into such resins as medium- and long-oil alkyds. HALOX® CW-22/221 is compliant with ASTM D7089, which specifies the requirements for calcium borosilicate pigments for use in paints.

LOPON® DA 400 is a universal dispersing agent formulated with middle-molecular-weight sodium polyacrylate. It delivers outstanding deflocculation results when utilized in highly filled systems containing inorganic pigments such as titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, and mica. LOPON® DA 400 exhibits remarkable alkaline stability and demonstrates strong compatibility with polyphosphates like POLYRON® N. This combination ensures excellent storage stability for the product.

HALOX® SW-111 is a white, nonrefractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. HALOX® SW-111 is recommended for use in most water-borne and solvent-borne epoxies. HALOX® SW-111 can be formulated into most water-reducible resin systems and corrosion-resistant caulks and sealants.

LOPON® DA 200 is a universal dispersing agent formulated with low-molecular-weight sodium polyacrylate. It provides exceptional deflocculation results in systems with high filler content, including inorganic pigments like titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, and mica. LOPON® DA 200 exhibits excellent alkaline stability and demonstrates strong compatibility with polyphosphates such as POLYRON® N. This combination ensures remarkable storage stability for the product.

HALOX® XTAIN® L-44 is a very effective liquid tannin stain-blocking additive that provides high performance and good compatibility in most water-based coating systems. Excellent tannin stain blocking properties can be achieved with HALOX® XTAIN® L-44 without the need for zinc oxide, which is required to achieve performance by most tannin blocking polymers on the market today. HALOX® XTAIN® L-44 eliminates the need for zinc oxide without sacrificing performance, resulting in improved package stability and shelf life of the coating system.

HALOX® Zinc Phosphate is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment that is widely used in protective coating systems. It is also known as zinc phosphate-dihydrate and is characterized by a narrow particle size distribution, with an upper particle size limit of 10 microns and a mean particle size of 5 microns. This pigment is highly versatile and serves as a standard corrosion inhibitor for most high-performance resin systems, including vinyl, chlorinated rubbers, and epoxies. It is especially recommended for high acid-value resins, catalyzed baking systems, and vinylidene chloride latexes. In addition, HALOX® Zinc Phosphate is an ideal choice for thin film applications (less than 1 mil or 25 microns). It meets the ASTM D 6280-98 specification for zinc phosphate pigment type I and is widely used in the industry.

HALOX® CW-291 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. It is not recommended for use in immersion or semi-immersion environments. HALOX® CW-291 has the lowest oil absorption of all our borosilicate products and is recommended for use in protective coating systems based on alkyd technology. Because of its low oil absorption, HALOX® CW-291 is specifically suggested for use in high-solids, medium-gloss topcoats, DTM (direct-to-metal) finishes, and self-priming systems. HALOX® CW-291 is compliant with ASTM D 4288-83, specification for calcium borosilicate pigment type 1, class B.

LOPON® DA 201 is a highly effective dispersing agent formulated with low-molecular-weight potassium polyacrylate. It is specifically designed for use in silicate emulsion paints. By utilizing potassium as the cation, it prevents the introduction of additional ions into the system, thus suppressing efflorescence during the drying process that can occur through the formation of sodium carbonate. LOPON® DA 201 achieves exceptional deflocculation results when incorporated into highly filled systems containing inorganic pigments like titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, and mica. The product demonstrates excellent alkaline stability and exhibits strong compatibility with polyphosphates such as POLYRON® N, resulting in impressive storage stability.

LOPON® ST is a highly effective stabilizer for emulsion silicate paints that prevents the formation of a polymeric network by the silicate groups in water glass during storage. The viscosity of the paint quickly levels off and remains stable for an extended period of time.
