When exposed to fire, the coating will not support combustion. Special pigmentation emits a fine water mist when exposed to a flame. Highly effective silver nanoparticles are dispersed in the coating which kills bacteria and known viruses on contact. This makes the coating extremely suitable for medical facilites and food operations which require sterile and clear areas.

- Although one properly applied finish coat is suitable for use, it is advisable to apply in two coats to prevent areas of low mils and holidays.
- When used on metal surfaces, proper primers must be used. On wallboard, concrete and masonry surfaces, waterbased primers may be used.
- CHEM-TEX 6225 is ultra low VOC making it suitable for use in all areas.
