Sapetin D20 is an aqueous solution of phosphonic acids modified by salts. Sapetin D20 alters the zeta potential. It thus cancels the forces of attraction between fillers and pigments and counteracts agglomeration.

Functions: Dispersant, Dispersant, Plasticizer

Features & Benefits

Properties
  • Permits the production of highly concentrated dispersions.
  • Improves the workability and flow of cement mixes and suspensions containing cements.
  • Is highly reactive.
  • Low addition rates suffice for good efficiency.
  • Allows porcelain castings to be removed without damage from gypsum molds.
  • Is particularly effective in dispersing silicate fillers, e.g. kaolin.
  • Has chelating properties, e. g. bonding iron

Applications & Uses

Industrial Additives End Use
Application
  • Sapetin D20 is a dispersant for mineral fillers, e. g. kaolins, calcium carbonate minerals, metal oxide pigments, etc....
  • It is also a plasticizer for self-leveling floor finishes, ceramic compounds, concrete-bonding mortars, cement finishing coats, and cement products.
Instructions on Use

The optimum proportioning rate for Sapetin D 20 can be determined by plotting a dispersant requirement curve. By this means, any tendency to flocculation can be counteracted.
