Statement of Origin

Ethane sulfonic acid (ESA) is a natural organic acid/mineral. It is produced by the reaction of ethanol and mineral acids of sulfur. It is formed via fermentation of non-GMO sugar cane, sourced from India. L-Valine is produced via fermentation processes using non-GMO sugarcane glucose as the substrate. Brassica alcohol is 100% vegetable derived from non-GMO mustard/rape/colza brassica plants sourced from India. Calcium Gluconate is manufactured via electro-chemical process of glucose and calcium carbonate. Glucose is derived from organic cane sugar, sourced from India. Calcium Carbonate is a natural mineral, sourced from France.

Technical Details & Test Data

Manufacturing Process

Aminosensyl™ HC is manufactured via esterification reaction of an amino acid salt, valinate esylate, with brassica alcohol. Brassicyl Valinate Esylate is produced via esterification reaction of Brassica Alcohol, L-Valine, and Ethansesulfonic Acid (ESA) and a salt reaction, in which the ESA forms a salt with the amino group on the L-Valine (Valine Esylate). The reaction takes place in excess Brassica Alcohol. Unreacted brassica alcohol, along with additional fatty alcohol, remain as a component of the final product. Calcium Gluconate is added as a pH adjuster.

Science Behind
  • AminoSensyl™ HC is part of INOLEX’s propriety technology platform of amino lipids.
  • Building blocks of the amino lipid molecule, Brassicyl Valinate Esylate:
  1. Valine: amino acid from biofermentation that provides the natural cationic charge
  2. Brassica alcohol: fatty alcohol from plant oils that contains a hydrophobic carbon chain
  • Lamellar liquid crystals (LLCs) are formed by the specific ratio of amino lipid to fatty alcohol. These structures can stabilize high oil loads, aid in deposition of the cationic amino lipid on hair, and provide a soft, powdery and non-greasy feel. The microscopy images show the presence of LLCs in AminoSensyl™ HC.
