For hair conditioners, Emulsense is the primary active anti-static agent, enabling both excellent performance and all-natural claims. In skin care, it is an emulsifier with an entirely new sensory profile, providing a silky initial-feel, and a powdery after-feel that are unmatched. Its key characteristics are:
- 100% Natural
- ECOCERT approved
- Compliant with COSMOS, NaTrue, and NPA standards
- Petrochemical-free
- Palm-free
- Quat-free
- Readily Biodegradable (OECD)
- Non-toxic to Aquatic Organisms (OECD)
- Non-GMO
No animal tests Use level is typically 3.75% - 6.5%. Often additional fatty alcohol is added to enhance structure, and glycerin is added to enhance stability. Emulsense is incompatible with certain gums, proteins, and mineral oil. Important: The inherent pH of Emulsense is 3.5.
Formulations containing Emulsense may require an upward adjustment of pH to a level suitable for hair and skin products. It is highly recommended that L-Arginine be used as the pH adjustment agent.
