NA-SUL® CA-1082

1 of 30 products in this brand
NA-SUL® CA-1082 is a high performance liquid rust and corrosion inhibitor for rust preventives and lubricants. It offers excellent solubility in highly paraffinic oils and polyalphaolefin (PAO). NA-SUL® CA-1082 is of moderate viscosity and may often be able to be cold blended into oils. This results in lower energy cost and faster processing. Contact with alkaline materials, cleaners or metalworking fluids may cause gelling of NA-SUL® CA-1082. Compatibility test should be carried out in order to identify any negative interactions.

Features & Benefits

Fluids & Lubricants Features
Product Advantages
  • Excellent rust inhibitor
  • Good demulsibility
  • Free flowing liquid, no melting required
  • Low odor, does not contain petroleum oxidates
  • Excellent solubility in highly paraffinic base oils and PAO
  • Resists gelling in the presence of bulk water
Product Features
  • NA-SUL® CA-1082 is a highly effective liquid rust and corrosion inhibitor when used in a variety of petroleum and synthetic lubricants. It outperforms most additive systems containing wax or other high melting materials in Salt Fog testing (ASTM B 117).
  • It has excellent solubility in base fluids such as highly processed paraffinic oils and PAO, although rust prevention is best in naphthenic oils or less highly refined paraffinic oils or solvents.
  • It resists gelling when exposed to water and therefore can be used in high moisture applications such as paper machine oils and rust preventives associated with wet parts.
  • Contamination with metalworking fluids may cause gelling.
  • Compatibility with other process chemicals should also be verified prior to use
