Koster Keunen Bayberry Wax is obtained from the fruit of the bayberry shrub. This all-natural wax,native to Central and South America, consists predominantly of triglycerides with C-16 carbon chain lengths. Formulators will find the esthetics hard, brittle, and fatty to the touch.

Kostene C-30 is a low molecular weight polyethylene. When used in conjunction with volatile oils and solvents such as cyclomethicone, isopar and isododecane, it will act as a thickener and add hardness and slip to formulations.

Kester Wax LWS is a high molecular weight natural ester blend designed to mimic the chemical and physical properties of lanolin wax. This vegan alternative is a true replacement allowing for one-to-one substitutions in cosmetic formulations.

Kostol TBP is a high HLB emulsifier based on a blend of high molecular weight compounds. Formulators will find a light to medium break and some viscosity building.

Orange Wax is an all-natural semi-solid wax derived from the orange peel through our proprietary process. Koster Keunen Emulsifying Wax is derived from plant based fatty alcohols. This emulsifier is highly stable in a wide pH range and highly compatible with most cosmetic and pharmaceutical ingredients. Koster Keunen manufactures Behenyl Beeswax by modifying our beeswax to produce a behenyl ester in order to make it less crystalline. Behenyl Beeswax has a wide range of oil gelling capabilities beyond standard beeswax.

Koster Keunen Castor Wax is derived from the plant Ricinus communis. The oil is hydrogenated to make this hard, brittle, high melt point vegetable wax. Koster Keunen Castor Wax can be used in all cosmetic and personal care products. It is used to thicken emulsions, bind antiperspirants and can work to disperse pigments. It is widely used in lip balms, anhydrous systems and color cosmetics.

Behenyl Alcohol 2275 is a white, waxy solid with a minimum concentration of 70-80 percent of behenyl alcohol. This behenyl alcohol blend was produced to reduce the crystalline structure which enhances the functionality.

Koster Keunen has created this unique emulsifying carnauba wax that allows for simplification in formulating emulsions. The high molecular weight monoester added to the carnauba eliminates the stabilization issues of straight carnauba in an emulsion.

Kester Wax K-56, a plant based monoester, is compatible with most cosmetic ingredients. Koster Keunen provides it as a slip agent to use for structuring cosmetic and personal care anhydrous systems.

Kester Wax K-EM2 is an ester of ethylene glycol and Montan Acid Wax approved by the German Pharmacopeia (DAB) for use in coatings, as a retarding agent, in tablet binding, and is a strong gelling agent in anhydrous products.

Koster Keunen knows that formulators need an option other than candelilla wax due to the issues and shortages in that market. We have developed this alternative to mimic the major and minor components of candelilla in cost effective way. Candelilla Wax Alternative can be used in any formula looking to replace candelilla wax. Uses include color cosmetics, hair and skin care. There is compatibility with all types of systems including anhydrous formulas, lip sticks, balms, pomades, emulsions and sunscreens.

PEG-8 Beeswax is the result of the esterification of the free fatty acids of beeswax with polyethylene glycol. The outcome of this process is a light colored wax with self-emulsifying properties and improved oil gelling capabilities designed to be used in all cosmetic applications. It creates emulsions with a rich texture and glossy appearance.

PEG Carnauba is a polyethylene glycol derivative of natural Type 1 yellow carnauba wax. Formulators use it as a thickening agent for film forming and emulsifying. It imparts a non-greasy feel to your formulations and gives the final product additional slip feel. PEG Carnauba, a cost effective raw material, provides superior stability. It is film forming and imparts a non-waxy feel when compared with other conventional cosmetic ingredients. In emulsion systems, the high molecular weight monoesters (> C-60) are popular for their film forming and barrier properties. Monoesters are very easy to stabilize using PEG Carnauba.

Koster Keunen Sunflower Wax is a vegetable wax obtained from the winterization of sunflower oil. This wax consists of long chain, saturated C-42 to C-60 esters. These esters correlate to hardness, crystalline structure, and a high melting point. It functions as a strong gellant and consistency modifier in sticks and emulsions.

Behenic Acid is a plant derived high molecular weight fatty acid. This emulsifier is a highly pure version of behenic acid that will give conditioning to both skin and hair.

Enhans PE-65 is a mixture of polymers with unique formulating advantages. Enhans PE-65 is used as a thickener and viscosity modifier, it imparts hardness and slip, is a melt point modifier and a gelling agent.Enhans PE-65 can be used to boost SPF values in sunscreens, thicken and structure color cosmetics, and works as a tremendous gelling agent. Use in lipsticks, sticks, anhydrous color formulations, creams and butters, or any product with sunscreen.

Cetyl Esters wax is a naturally derived ester made up of a mixture of saturated fatty alcohols and fatty acids. It meets the monograph of the US Pharmacopeia and can be used in OTC products and topical pharmaceuticals. Cetyl Esters is used primarily to thicken emulsions while acting as an emollient for improved feel.

Behenyl Alcohol S75 is a white, waxy solid that functions as a thickener, binding agent, solubilizer and gellant for low viscosity fluids. This behenyl alcohol contains a small amount of fatty alcohols for unique properties while formulating.

Enhans CY-62 is a candelilla derivative designed by Koster Keunen for use in personal care formulations. The combined natural chemistry with silicone allows for a highly compatible compound in all formulations.
