Kumho Polychem is the Korea’s largest EPDM maker located in the Yeosu National Petrochemical Industry Complex. KEPA is made by partially reforming EP(D)M properties through a process of grafting functional materials such as MAH(Maleic Anhydride) to EP(D)M. This leads to the improvement of its affinity with polar macromolecular compounds. It is used as an impact modifier and compatibilizer for polar resin.

Various innoprene products supplied by Kumho Polychem Co.,Ltd. are thermoplastic elastomers of polyolefin type, and they can replace the existing thermosetting products of EP(D)M or CR rubber. The material is also able to replace soft PVC that is recently being discussed for its environmental problems. Moreover, the material is of low weight, therefore it is possible to develop light-weighted products.

Innoprene is a product that is already completely cross-linked and there is no need for an extra cross-link process before its ultimate use. Also, it is possible to simplify the processes and reduce the prime cost as it is an environment-friendly material allowing for an easy recycle of scraps resulted from processing.

Innoprene is possible to mold using devices of extrusion molding, injection molding, blow molding and calendar processing as in normal plastic resin. Especially, it is among the new materials that are possible to apply in extrusion area. (automobile glass run channel and construction window gasket etc)

KEPA 1130 is a special polymer rubber of the ethylene-propylene EPDM, consisted mainly with single molecular chain structure, grafted with maleic anhydride. It is superior in the resistances against heat, ozone, and weather, also shows excellent characteristic of the impact strength in low temperature as it is constituted with amorphous rubber.

KEP® 2060 produced by Kumho Polychem is a highly functional special synthetic rubber that is mainly used for automotive parts and has excellent resistance to heat, ozone, and chemicals. With a lower specific gravity compared with other synthetic rubbers, it can be applicable for high-filling mixing, meaning it has a high economic feasibility.

KEP® 435 produced by Kumho Polychem is a highly functional special synthetic rubber that is mainly used for automotive parts and has excellent resistance to heat, ozone, and chemicals.
