Kuraray Poval™ 10-98

KURARAY POVAL™ 10-98 (formerly Mowiol® 10-98) by Kuraray is a fully saponified, odorless, water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. Shows varying degree of polymerization and hydrolysis. Its aqueous solution can be added to polymer emulsions already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol which affects the extension of the open time, setting speed and rheology. Exhibits good penetration capacity and good adhesion properties. Offers high cohesion & toughness, low electrostatic charging and re-dissolving capacity of the dried film in water. KURARAY POVAL™ 10-98 is suitable for use in pressure sensitive adhesive labels. Complies with EU Directive 67/548/EC.
