KURARAY POVAL™ 3-85 S4 by Kuraray is a water-soluble, polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It exhibits high molecular weight and good cohesion. It possesses good adhesion to fibers-, fillers- and pigments. It provides extension of the open time, increase of the setting speed and influence on the rheology. KURARAY POVAL™ 3-85 S4 is recommended for the modification of emulsion adhesives.
