Kuraray Poval™ Poval LM-20 by Kuraray is an ultra-low saponified polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade. This grade is water-soluble polymer manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is suitable for modification of emulsion adhesives and remoistenable adhesives in the paper processing industry. It is used as an adhesive promoter. Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ LM-20 can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology. It is used in postage stamps and labels. The recommended shelf life of this grade is 12 months. Complies with EU Directive 67/548/EC regulation.
