BioPBS™ FX85AC is a bio-based polybutylene succinate adipate (PBSA) produced through the polymerization of bio-based succinic acid, 1,4-butanediol, and adipic acid. Similar to LDPE, BioPBS™ is a soft and flexible semi-crystalline polyester with excellent properties that make it well-suited for cast extrusion and extrusion coating applications, including the production of compostable paper cups. FX85AC has been specifically developed for use in home compostable coated paper, catering to frozen and cold beverage applications.
