Flame Retardancy Data of YX8800


Mechanism of flame retardancy

  • Step 1. Carbonized layer is formed.
  • Step 2. Heat insulating layer is formed.
  • Step 3. Heat and air are kept out.
  • Finally fire/flame is extinguished.

Model encapsulant composition

  • Hardener : Phenol aralkyl, Accelerator Triphenylphosphine (2phr)
  • Release agent : Carnauba wax (1phr)
  • Coupling agent : Epoxy silane (1phr)
  • Filler (Fused silica) Content : 85%, 175°C 200sec+8hr

Carefully read the SDS before using, handling, transporting, storing or disposing. jER™ YX8800 should be stored in tightly closed containers under exclusion of humidity at gentle temperatures. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Under these storage conditions the product has a minimum shelf life of three months from date of delivery.
