MÜNZING’s METOLAT 700 series are APEO-free wetting agents with excellent equilibrium and dynamic surface tension reduction for a wide range of coating and ink applications. The METOLAT 700 wetting agent product range has varying HLBs specifically designed to provide optimal performance based on the customer’s system chemistry and application requirements.

METOLAT 340 is a low foaming non-ionic wetting agent for water-based systems. It improves substrate wetting and leveling by reduction of surface tension. Dynamic surface tensions: 1 % at 1 Hz: 21 mN/m 1 % at 10 Hz: 34 mN/m

METOLAT® 368 is a non-ionic, silicone free wetting agent for water-based systems. It improves substrate wetting and leveling. The product is VOC free according to 2004/42/EC.

METOLAT 514 is an anionic dispersing agent with low foam tendencies suitable for many aqueous systems. It is recommended for most common pigments and fillers. METOLAT 514 is compatible with many emulsion polymers. It can be used over a wide pH range. METOLAT 514 reduces the mill base viscosity and provides higher pigment volume concentrations. It prevents the formation of settlements and stabilizes the system.

METOLAT® P 590 is an APEO free wetting agent in powder form. It is added to dry blends, which are dissolved in water before application. The addition of METOLAT® P 590 results in an accelerated wetting of all solid particles, including sand, cement and fibers. This results in a more homogeneous mixture of the mass and a more uniform aspect of the surface after drying. In pigmented systems METOLAT® P 590 leads to a faster wetting of the pigment surface and prevents reagglomeration.

Due to its specific composition METOLAT 285 can be either used as wetting agent or as defoamer. In aqueous, alkaline systems METOLAT 285 is used as wetting agent. It also improves substrate wetting and penetration of coatings into wood. METOLAT 285 is also an oil free and particle free defoamer for solving special foam problems.

METOLAT 288 provides excellent surface wetting without generating foam. The product is free of mineral oil and silicones. METOLAT 288 improves good wetting and increases leveling, especially in low viscosity systems.

METOLAT 362 is a non-ionic, silicone free wetting agent with low foam tendency for water based printing inks, adhesives, emulsion paints and water borne clear as well as pigmented coatings. METOLAT 362 improves substrate and pigment wetting. It shows a very broad pH stability.

METOLAT P 854 is recommended for use in dry mixtures which are to be blended or diluted with water prior to application. The use of METOLAT P 854 significantly improves wetting of pigments and extenders.

METOLAT P 861 is recommended for the use in dry mixtures which are to be blended or diluted with water prior to application. METOLAT P 861 reduces the shrinkage in cementitious systems and acts as coalescent in powder paints.

METOLAT 1299 is a silicone-free wetting and leveling agent for water based systems. It improves surface wetting and enhances leveling of low viscous systems. It provides the following properties: Effective in hard or soft water up to 100°C; Effective over a wide pH range

METOLAT 365 is a non-ionic, silicone free wetting agent with low foam tendency for water based printing inks, adhesives, emulsion paints and water borne clear as well as pigmented coatings. METOLAT 365 improves substrate and pigment wetting. It shows a very broad pH stability.

METOLAT® 600 is an additive designed to increase the water retention of paper coating colors. Due to its moderate thickening effect in combination with high water retention METOLAT® 600 is recommended for all coating colors in which the water retention should be improved without increasing the viscosity. The effect on high shear viscosity is low. Due to its properties the product is easy and accurate to dose.

METOLAT® 367 is a non-ionic, silicone free wetting agent for water-based systems. It improves substrate wetting and leveling. METOLAT® 367 is specifically suitable for systems in contact with food. The product is VOC free according to 2004/42/EC.

METOLAT® 355 is a wetting agent with low foam tendencies, suitable for many aqueous systems. Due to its nonionic character METOLAT® 355 is compatible with many different raw materials with broad pH stability. It provides excellent pigment and substrate wetting. METOLAT® 355 improves pigment compatibility and leveling in emulsion paints and water reducible systems.

METOLAT P 871 is recommended for the use in dry mixtures which are to be blended or diluted with water prior to application. METOLAT P 871 reduces the shrinkage in cementitious systems and acts as coalescent in powder paints.

METOLAT N 50 is an aqueous dispersion of hydrophobic compounds which is easy to emulsify in water. METOLAT N 50 leads to an extension of the open-time of waterbased emulsion paints.

METOLAT® 390 is a dispersing and wetting agent for organic pigments in aqueous media free of organic solvents. METOLAT® 390 stabilizes dispersed organic pigments and reduces the mill-base viscosity. Gloss and color development are improved and reflocculation is prevented.

METOLAT® 392 is a solvent-free dispersing and wetting agent for carbon blacks in aqueous media. METOLAT® 392 is a solvent-free dispersing and wetting agent for carbon blacks in aqueous media. It is ideal for the manufacturing of aqueous coatings systems based on polymer solutions and / or polymer emulsions (air dry and force dry, 2K-systems) as well as for the manufacturing of aqueous resin-free pigment concentrates. It is ideal for the manufacturing of aqueous coating systems based on polymer solutions and / or polymer emulsions (air dry and forced dry, 2K-systems) as well as for the manufacturing of aqueous resin-free pigment concentrates.

METOLAT LA 524 is an universal wetting and dispersing agent. It is recommended for all solvent borne paint and lacquer systems to prevent flocculation and to improve grinding. It is suitable to disperse Bentone™ gelling agents. (Bentone™ is a trademark of Rheox INC.).
