Properties and Applications

MUNZING’s METOLAT 700 series are APEO free wetting agents with excellent equilibrium and dynamic surface tension reduction for a wide range of coating and ink applications. The product range is formulated with varying HLB values to provide optimal compatibility and performance based on the system chemistry and application requirements.

Main applications:

  • Printing ink
  • Coatings; architectural, wood and industrial
  • Overprint varnishes
  • Adhesives
Recommended Levels and Use

The properties of a wetting agent are greatly dependent upon our customer’s formulations and consequently, should always be tested (possibly at different treatment levels, temperatures, and/or time intervals) to verify performance prior to use. Optimization studies are recommended to achieve the proper cost effective dosage level. The normal dosage ranges from 0.10% to 2.0%.
