OMBRELUB 533

OMBRELUB 533 is a nonionic, very finely dispersed and stable dispersion of calcium stearate in water. It is easily miscible with water at all ratios. The calcium stearate is an excellent water-repellent agent. In waterborne printing inks and external wood coatings OMBRELUB 533 is applied to increase waterproofing properties. OMBRELUB 533 is also recommended for the manufacture of concrete building components.

In printing inks and other coatings the optimum dosage has to be determined for every special application. Normal dosage in cement and concrete mixtures is 2 % OMBRELUB 533 on cement. This results in a reasonable hydrophobic effect. The concrete surface can be coated afterwards without any problems.
