- Properties and Applications
TAFIGEL AP 15 is a synthetic thickener designed for universal use in low to high PVC systems. In comparison to common HASE thickeners it shows a stronger associative thickening character. TAFIGEL AP 15 requires an alkaline pH-value (>8) for optimum efficiency.
Main applications:
- Decorative Coatings
- Industrial and wood coatings
- Architectural coatings
- Adhesives
- Printing inks
- Paper coatings
- Recommended Levels and Use
TAFIGEL AP 15 is supplied as low viscous emulsion. Neutralization results into a high viscous solution. Ladder studies are recommended to determine optimum additon levels. Normal dosage ranges from 0.1 - 4.0 % on total formulation.
