- Pharmaceutical and very pure grade Potassium Acetate can be used in the manufacture of antibiotics, penicillin, insulin and in haemo- and peritoneal dialysis solutions.
- Pure and technical grade Potassium Acetate can be used as a polymerization catalyst and in the production of polyurethane foam and in carbon black production.
- The product is also used as a dehydrating agent, a textile conditioner, a flame retardant and as a drilling fluid additive.
- Potassium Acetate (technical grade) can be used in fertilizers as a potassium source with a potassium (K) level of minimum 39.0% (94.0% expressed as K2O).

Pharmaceutical grade Potassium Acetate is stable for 3 years from date of production. All other grades have 2 years stability. Physical stability and appearance may change before the end of shelf-life if not stored single-stacked in closed original packaging, dry and at room temperature. Potassium Acetate is very hygroscopic.
