ELFACOS ST 37 are unique polyalkalene glycols which have excellent stabilizing effect on emulsions. Having a high capacity to absorb water and oil, a relatively low percentage is needed in cosmetic formulations. The stabilizing effect is not obtained by thickening, allowing for low viscous stable emulsions to be achieved. Balance® 47, a unique, hydrophobically modified acrylic resin, has been specially designed to produce superior performance in low volatile organic compound (VOC) aerosol and pump hair sprays that contain water. In such systems, the negative effects of water are well known. Water contributes to both increased viscosity and increased surface tension resulting in wetter sprays with a larger particle size. NATRASORB BATH is able to absorb and carry large quantities of oils and anhydrous liquids, such as bath oils. The starch is processed in a manner that creates unique 'pockets' that can carry the oils essentially in a solid, powder form.
