Storage & Handling
- Storage Conditions
- To maintain color and quality, Triameen Y12D-30 should be stored at a temperature of 10-30°C under nitrogen. If stored <10°C the product might become turbid. If so, it needs to be gently heated to 20°C and homogenized before use. Higher temperatures can be tolerated where color maintenance is not of concern.
- Prolonged heated storage in air can cause discoloration and degradation. Heated storage vessels should be sealed (with a vent pipe) and preferably be nitrogen blanketed.
- Amines can absorb carbon dioxide and water from the atmosphere even at ambient temperatures. Absorbed carbon dioxide and moisture can be removed by heating the product in a controlled way.
