APP‐205 is a non‐halogenated flame retardant based on APP‐201 which develops its effectiveness through phosphorus / nitrogen synergism. When incorporated into thermoplastics, it exhibits high processing stability. APP‐205 differs in its mode of action from chlorineor bromine‐containing flame retardants by achieving its effect through intumescence. The thermoplastic material foams on exposure to flame. TBNPA is a reactive flame retardant containing appox. 73% aliphatic bromine. It combines a high bromine content with exceptional stability and is particularly suitable where thermal. hydrolytic and light stability are required. AO 1024 possesses the double structures of hindered phenol and acyl,and afunction of anti‐oxidation and metal deactivation.
