Recommended Applications

PEROXAN ME-50 LX is used for the curing of unsaturated polyester resins at ambient temperature in combination with cobalt accelerators. The curing system PEROXAN ME-50 LX and Cobalt accelerator is particularly suitable for the curing of gel coat resins, laminating resins, lacquers and castings; moreover the manufacture of light resistant parts may be possible contrary to the curing system Benzoyl peroxide and Amine accelerator. Depending on working conditions, the following peroxide and accelerator dosage levels are recommended: PEROXAN ME-50 LX: 1,0 to 4,0 phr PERGAQUICK C12 X (Cobalt, 1%): 0,5 to 3,0 phr Curing according to DIN 16945 (20g Orthoptalic resin in a double-walled test tube at 21°C) PEROXAN ME-50 LX 2% + PERGAQUICK CP-12 0.5% PEROXAN ME-50 LX 2% + PERGAQUICK CP-12 0.2% PEROXAN ME-50 LX 1.5% + PERGAQUICK CP-12 1.0% PEROXAN ME-50 LX 1.5% + PERGAQUICK CP-12 0.5% PEROXAN ME-50 LX 1% + PERGAQUICK CP-12 1.0% PEROXAN ME-50 LX 1% + PERGAQUICK CP-12 0.5% 200 400 600 800 1,000 1,200 1,400 1,600 1,800 2,000 2,200 2,400 2,600 2,800 0 20 40 60 80 100 120 140 160 180 Time in s Temperature in °C
