Glass filler is often used to reduce creep in the final product. It improves wear resitance, and is chemically inert to water and solvents. It has the least effect on electrical properties, while slightly increasing the porosity.

This grade offers a good wear and chemical resistance. For bearing applications, it is considered to have optimum glass content and is recommended where contact with hydrochloric acid is involved.
