Nitrophor™ FR1000 is a kind of new low halogen environmentally friendly flame retardant with N, P and Br for PP. Compared with bromine-based flame retardant, Nitrophor™ FR1000 has advantages of low dosage, low bromine content, no migration and no need of Sb2O3.

Product Characteristics

Nitrophor™ FR1000 is also suitable for mineral filling system and masterbatch system. Products with Nitrophor™ FR1000 can pass the tests of UL 94 V-2 (1.5mm), GWFI 850°Cand GWIT 750°C. The bromine content of the product with Nitrophor™ FR1000 could be controlled to less than 900ppm, which could meet the non-halogen requirement of IEC 61249-2- 21. The products with Nitrophor™FR1000 are characterized by low density, low smoke generation and less mold corrosion. Nitrophor™ FR1000 is especially developed for the applications of electronic appliance socket, electronic appliance structure and motor parts.

Notes

  • Nitrophor™ FR1000 applied in PP, some additives may be of negative effect to appearance and flame retardant properties of the resin therefore careful selection of additives should be needed (CaCO3 could not be used in this application).
  • Nitrophor™ FR1000 applied in PP, strong shear screw combination is not recommended.
  • Bromine plus antimony FR system or carbon black would decrease flame retarding performance of Nitrophor™ FR1000.
