Prime Polymers

By combining our unique metallocene-catalyst and gas-phase technologies, Prime Polymer has developed a very specialized form of ethylene-high-a-olefin (1-Hexene)-copolymer LLDPE in our Evolue™ products. Compared to conventional-catalyst LLDPE, Evolue™ demonstrates superior strength, clarity and heat-seal properties. This unique product provides an exceptional balance of physical properties and processability. Evolue™ is used extensively in the manufacture of various packaging materials.

This is the first high-density PE manufactured in Japan (1958). It shows excellent tensile strength, high rigidity and especially excellent impact resistance. It also has the characteristics of excellent thermal stability at the time of molding, excellent stress cracking resistance and long-term weatherability and creep resistance.

In Japan Prime Polymers pioneered the first commercial production of polypropylene in 1962. Today our total annual capacity exceeds 1,360,000 Metric Tons with production at our Chiba, Osaka and Yamaguchi plants. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and world-class R&D resources allow Prime Polymers to provide a comprehensive variety of grades to meet numerous general and specialty-market needs.

PRIME TPO is a polyolefin-based flexible resin of the reactor type developed by our proprietary polymerization technology. Since it is polymerized directly in a reactor, it is prominently characterized by a homogeneous composition, satisfactory moldability and excellent physical properties. In addition, PRIME TPO has the following characteristics: (1) Environmentally friendly (easy to burn and recycle) (2) Low in specific gravity, making a reduction in weight possible (specific gravity:0.88 -0.90） (3) It can be extruded and calender-processed. (4) It is a PP-based resin and exhibits excellent heat resistance. (5) It shows a broad range of rigidity from semi-rigid to flexible.

This is a special LLDPE (linear low-density PE) obtained by copolymerizing ethylene and higher-α-olefin utilizing our proprietary solution polymerization process. Because of its excellent mechanical properties, this resin is used for a broad range of packaging and industrial applications. NEO-ZEX™ is a solution-process ethylene-butene copolymer (LLDPE). Compared to conventional LDPE, NEO-ZEX™ exhibits superior properties of heat resistance, heat seal, anti-deformation, stiffness and gloss.

MORETEC™ is a solution-process, ethylene-high-a-olefin (1-Octene) copolymer. It is a specialized LLDPE with excellent mechanical properties including superior heat resistance and heat seal. MORETEC™ is used extensively in the manufacture of industrial - and food-packaging films.
