Applications & Uses

Compatible Polymers & Resins
Applications
  • RIASORB® UV-2020 is a high molecular weight hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS). It shows excellent compatibility in the polymer and high extraction resistance.
  • RIASORB® UV-2020 has a very narrow molecular weight distribution, which resulting in a consistent performance in use and processing.
  • RIASORB® UV-2020 is a highly effective UV stabilizer for polyolefins (PP and PE) and blends of polyolefins with elastomers. It is suitable for all polyolefins, especially Polypropylene (PP) fibers and staple fibers, e.g., geomembranes and packaging, plastic in the ocean, such as ocean floating structures, PP fibers and yarns for automotive interiors and carpets, PP spun-bond nonwovens for colored, outdoor and high-temperature applications.
  • RIASORB® UV-2020 offers an optimal combination of exceptional levels of UV- and long-term thermal stability, and ancillary properties such as minimal pigment interaction, helping to reduce coloration costs, and improved melt flow control. It provides excellent UV stability to PP fibers, PP tapes, PE films, thick articles of PP and PE. Furthermore, it imparts unique long-term thermal protection to PP filled articles and carbon black filled systems.
