This material is intended for use as an additive or a building block in a variety of thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers such as Styrenic Block Copolymers. PPE powder can be used to improve properties (i.e. Heat Distortion and Creep Resistance). It is hydrolytically stable and non-hydroscopic (typically less than 0.2% water uptake). The polymer is soluble in common organic solvents like toluene, chloroform, and THF. SABIC's Specialties Business LNP™ COLORCOMP™ Compound WQ117945 is a PET based masterbatch for foaming applications containing a nanostructured, non-mineral based additive. Typical usage levels in final foam formulations are below 5%.

SABIC's Specialties Business ULTEM™ Resin 1010UCL is an amorphous, transparent polyetherimide (PEI) thermoplastic offering enhanced flow and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 217°C. 1010UCL offers the same performance as ULTEM 1010 resin and offers further enhanced cleanliness control for (optical) applications. The natural (uncolored) version of this grade is compliant with RoHS and also with Halogen Free standards as IEC 61249-2-21 and e.g. IPC 4101E. For colored versions, compliance needs to be checked case by case.

SABIC's Specialties Business LEXAN ML6411 polycarbonate (PC) siloxane resin, is a high flow opaque injection molding (IM) grade with very low temperature ductility characteristics. This grade offers UL94 V0 @ 1.5mm and 5VA @ 3.0mm flame retardancy based on non-chlorine, non-bromine FR systems. LEXAN ML6411 resin offers excellent processing characteristics with opportunity for shorter IM cycle times compared to standard PC. This product is available in a wide range of opaque colors and is an excellent candidate for a wide range of electrical applications.

NORYL™ SA110A resin is a low molecular weight polymer based on polyphenylene ether (PPE). Miscibility of NORYL SA110A resin in polystyrene may allow use as a styrene endblock reinforcing resin in a variety of materials like styrene-based rubbers and styrene block copolymers. Adding NORYL SA110A resin to these systems may improve heat resistance (adhesion at elevated temperatures) while maintaining peel strength. The viscosity profile of NORYL SA110A resin makes it a good potential candidate for melt extrusion tape processes.
