LactoSporin® is prepared by a patented technology in a defined growth media. It is a standardized preparation to avoid the propagation of micro-organisms, those with negative effects on the skin surface. In anti-acne face wash and in feminine wash formulations, LactoSporin® may act by influencing the growth of certain negative microorganisms on the skin surface and thus may help to improve the general health of the skin. It is thermostable (90 °C for 30 minutes) and stable at acidic pH.
Applications & Uses

- Food & Nutrition Applications
- Applications
- Skin Care
Laboratory studies have demonstrated that LactoSporin® can act by immunomodulation, playing as the barrier to pollutants and allergens, absorbing sunlight components, improving the overall texture and radiance of the skin, and by reducing age associated skin damage. In the in vitro assays showed a dose-dependent reduction in harmful components generated due to sunlight exposure. Hence it helps to balances skin tone and texture.
- Hair Care
Studies demonstrated that LactoSporin® reduced the hair fall and improved the overall hair growth along with better quality and quantity of hair.
