Technical Details & Test Data
- Typical Performance
Use of EXTINITY® 0201-171 in polyethylene blown film applications can gives sufficient flame retardancy to pass several flammability requirements. Internal testing has shown that the use of 7-8 % of EXTINITY® 0201-171 in certain LDPE, LLDPE, and LDPE/LLDPE systems allows the film to meet the Boston Fire Department Test and NFPA-701 (1989 and 1996) Small Scale Test. In addition, EXTINITY® 0201-171 can be used to at relatively low use rate (4-6 %) in order to meet MVSS-302 requirements in polyethylene-based film applications. Specific performance will vary based on application, resin selection, processing conditions and use rate of the concentrate.
- Processing Condition
EXTINITY® 0201-171 can be processed using standard extrusion equipment at typical conditions for polyethylene. Specific processing conditions vary with application, equipment and usage rate. Please contact your SACO AEI Polymers representative for processing
conditions and usage rates recommendations based on your specific needs.
Storage & Handling
- Storage and Handling
SACO AEI Polymers recommends that EXTINITY® 0201-171 be stored in an ambient temperature range (40 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit) and away from excessive moisture and extremely high humidity environments.
