Mechanism of Action: Utilizing fluorescent agents encapsulated in SalSphere® demonstrated the targeted delivery of the submicron spheres containing the active to the hair follicles. The targeted delivery of procyanidin B2 can specifically promote hair epithelial cell growth, activate specific regions of the hair follicle into the growing phase, and cause the follicular hair cycle to revert to the anagen phase from the telogen phase. Thus, it is suggested to be effective in curing male pattern baldness. Studies1 have shown that procyanidin B2 prolongs the hair growth cycle and shortens the rest cycle.

SalSphere® is available as a slurry. It is used as a raw material to formulate leave-in and rinse-off products. We recommend combining SS NHGP with SS Hair Stimulator for a synergistic effect. The combination of the technologies was found to be very useful because the cause behind thinning hair is not clear and a combination of technologies can be more effective to address the issue and get faster results. The two technologies deliver different functional ingredients and are compatible for formulation.
