CATION LQ has been used in hair conditioners, treatments and shampoos with built-in conditioners to impart smoothness and softness to hair when mixed with other surfactants, oils and moisturizers.
- CATION LQ and other surfactants: 0.5 - 5 (wt %)
- Oils (e.g., hydrocarbon, fatty alcohol, esters, silicones): 2 - 10 (wt %)
- Moisturizer (e.g., glycerin, 1,3-butylene glycol, propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol): 2 - 10 (wt %)
- Perfume, colorant, preservative: Proper quantity

1. Tactile Property of Hair Treated with CATION LQ
- The hair conditioner containing CATION LQ features a good spreadability on the hair, imparts a good feel to the hair after rinsing, and makes it easier to style hair compared with conditioners containing conventional cationic surfactants.
2. Water Absorbency
- CATION LQ imparts favorable water absorbency
3. Antistatic Property
- Hair conditioners containing CATION LQ impart a high antistatic property to hair.
4. Coefficient of Kinetic Friction
- Hair conditioners containing CATION LQ lower coefficients of dynamic friction on hair, thus this product prevents hair damage resulting from brushing.
5. Compatibility with Anionic Surfactants
- Unlike conventional cationic surfactants, CATION LQ exhibits good compatibility with anionic surfactants, and can be mixed in shampoos as a conditioner ingredient.
