The optimal dosage Valida L, 3% depends on the required functionality, as well as the nature of the other ingredients in the formulation. Note that adding Valida L, 3% will not result in an immediate thickening effect. The primary functionality of Valida L, 3% is stabilization at low viscosity. A combination of Valida L, 3% and a thickener is recommended when a ‘gel-like’ system is required.

Technical Details & Test Data
- Application Examples
Valida improves viscosity in Self-compacting concrete with limited impact on yield stress.
Note: Yield stress and viscosity vary based on dosage; the yield stress can be seen as a finite stress that is needed before the fluid flows.
Valida increases the viscosity while having lower impact on yield stress compared to incumbent materials.
Application Examples: Valida in Smart Dynamic Concrete
Smart Dynamic Concrete (SDC) shows self-compacting properties at lower amounts of cementitious material without undesirable effects.
Stability: Segregration and Bleeding
- Valida improves aggregate stability, reduces slump flow, segregation and bleeding phenomena.
- Valida can replace incumbent synthetic viscosity modifier additives at similar solid content dosage, contributing also to improve the sustainability of the concrete.
- Valida as an Early Stage Strength Enhancer
Valida reinforces concrete and significantly improves compressive and flexural strength.
- Robust Performance
Valida delivers robust performance in high electrolyte concentrations, pH and (largely) polar solvents.
Safety & Health

Valida L, 3% Dispersion Guidance: - A good dispersion of Valida L, 3% is critical to utilize its full benefits. We recommend to introduce Valida L, 3% at an early process step, preferably dispersing Valida L, 3% together with other fillers or pigments via grinding or high shear mixing.
Table. Redispersion guideline for Valida L, 3%:

Recommended storage condition: ambient or lower, and avoid freezing and direct exposure to sunlight, the product has a shelf life of 18 months from date of production. Once open, containers, or bags containing Valida L, 3% gel should be re-sealed to avoid moisture loss and used within 3 months.
