ISOCARB acids are derived from Sasol’s proprietary Guerbet alcohols, available with even numbered carbon chain lengths of 12, 16, 24 and 32. ISOCARB acids comprise excellent corrosion inhibitor for the metalworking fluids. They also improve the formulation stability for metalworking fluids, both for semi-synthetic and fully synthetic and may be neutralized to the salt using widely available amines.
