SASOL's NACOL Ethers are readily biodegradable dialkyl ethers derived from analogous linear alcohols. NACOL Ether 6, 8 and 10 are clear, colorless liquids. NACOL Ethers (C6 to C10) show a very low viscosity and good spreading properties. The specifc structure of the ethers provides polarity which yields advantageous solubility and solvent characteristics. Each is compatible in a wide variety of applications, including flow assurance, asphaltene remediation, cleaning, metal working fluid additives, silicone remover and various microemulsion formulations.
