- Product Origin
EMULGANTE OS is manufactured from following raw materials:
- Alcohols C16 and C18 linear with vegetable / synthetic origin
- Ethylene oxide with synthetic origin
Applications & Uses
- Markets
- Applicable Processes
- Industrial Additives End Use
- Recommended Uses & Known Applications
- EMULGANTE OS in water solution at 50% w/w does not yield gel formation and becomes a stable solution when cooling up to 5°C, so it can be used in high concentrate formulation without gel formation.
- EMULGANTE OS is used as dispersant in industrial applications, in particular in polyester dyeing processes and emulsion polymerizations.
- In the textile field, EMULGANTE OS is used as dispersant for dyes and pigments.

Packaging & Availability
- Packaging Type
- Packaging Information
EMULGANTE OS is generally supplied in sacks.
Storage & Handling
- Shelf Life
- 36 months
- Preservative System
EMULGANTE OS does not contain any preservative. EMULGANTE OS is not susceptible to microbial growth because of extremely low water content.
- Storage and Handling
- EMULGANTE OS should preferably be stored in stainless steel tanks.
- It is suggested to keep the product at temperature below 50°C, it is preferable to avoid heating above 60°C and to store under nitrogen in order to minimize yellowish phenomena.
- EMULGANTE OS is solid at room temperature and it becomes liquid at temperature above 55°C.
- If EMULGANTE OS is packaged, it should be stored in a cool location in sacks or containers made of plastic materials impermeable to moisture
