Butyl Diglycol Ether is known to be used in coating products, heat transfer fluids, hydraulic fluids, lubricants and greases, plant protection products and water treatment chemicals. It is also used in washing & cleaning products, cosmetics and personal care products, perfumes and fragrances and also fertilizers.

The chemical is used widely in manufacture of facbricated metal parts for machineries and vehicles. It's most common use is in the metal working fluids. It can be use in leather treatment and also in several production processes for textile and fur.
