TERRAVIS surfactant product line is specifically tailored for various oilfield applications which include dispersants, wetting agents, emulsifiers and organoclay activators.

TERRAVIS

MARLOWET ether carboxylic acids are low foaming anionic surfactants. They are based on alcohols from C9 to C18, with different alkoxylation degrees. The MARLOWET product range is a water soluble lubricant efficient in hard water and active at extreme pH. It can be used in various applications including as a corrosion inhibitor (organic anti-corrosion agent), wetting agent, defoamer, hydrophilic emulsifier for water based metalworking fluids and exhibits high lime soap dispersing properties.

PURALOX is the trademark for the aluminium oxides. The proprietary process used in the preparation of these high-purity aluminium oxides allows Sasol to control many important physical properties and hence "tailor-make" a product for your needs. PURALOX are available as white, free flowing powders with high-purity and consistency. Due to the precisely controlled processing conditions during and after manufacturing these aluminium oxides, PURALOX make excellent starting materials for the catalyst industry. They provide excellent specific catalytic activities, high surface area stability and low attrition loss. PURALOX are arguably the best starting materials for the catalyst industry where consistency and an stable nature of the support is highly desired. These characteristics are of great importance for fluid and slurry bed applications. Due to their high thermal stability, PURALOX are widely used raw materials for wash coat formulations in environmental emission-control catalysts. Recent developments have found other suitable uses for these materials in applications outside catalysis such as polishing, chromatography, adsorbents and gas separation.

Silica-alumina hydrates (SIRAL) exhibit characteristics which differ significantly from pure aluminas. One of the key properties of silica-aluminas is their comparatively high level of surface acidity, making them useful catalyst support materials, for example in the field of refinery catalyst.

Sasol Chemicals' ISOFOL Alcohols are primary, saturated alcohols with defined branching of the carbon chain. Such alcohols are chemically described as 2-alkyl-1-alkanols and also referred to as Guerbet alcohols. ISOFOL Alcohols are high purity alcohols which offer excellent oxidative and color stability. They are available with even carbon chain lengths of 12 to 28. Additionally, the twin 100% linear alkyl branches of the ISOFOL Alcohols give a lower viscosity and better biodegradability than dimer alcohols derived from oxoalcohols. The unique chemical structure of the ISOFOL Alcohols also provides good solubility and solvency. The various derivatives synthesized from ISOFOL Alcohols maintain many of the beneficial properties of the parent alcohol.

ALFOL® is a blend of high purity petrochemical-based linear primary alcohols. They are physically and chemically equivalent to corresponding oleochemical based alcohols derived from such sources as coconut oil or palm oil.

ISOCARB 16 (2-Hexyldecanoic Acid) is a primary, saturated carboxylic acid with defined branching of the carbon chain.

PARAFOL 12 RSPO-MB is a high pure paraffin produced from oleochemical resourced under RSPO-MB requirements. It is a clear, colorless liquid. PARAFOL 12 RSPO-MB is a very light and highly spreading emollient and a readily biodegradable alternative to D5 silicone oils.

CERALUTION CPE is a ready-to-use pre-emulsion concentrate which allows the production of O/W-emulsions in cold-cold or hot-cold processing without any special homogenisation equipment by addition of oils, lipophilic and / or hydrophilic actives and rheology additives.

COSMACOL ELI is versatile polar emollient suitable for both personal cleansing and skin care formulations. This ester exhibits some peculiar activities of lactic acid derivatives, as moisturizing and mild keratolytic effect, and therefore it is suitable for skin care products targeted for different types of skin, from dry to greasy. COSMACOL ELI shows also thickening effect on SLES-Betaine system as well as anti-irritant properties and can be used for various personal care products, including lines for delicate and atopic skins.
