DISPERAL OS-1 alumina is dispersible in acetone and other polar organic solvents as a colloidal dispersion (cf. table 1 and 2). DISPERAL OS-1 contains p-toluene sulphonic acid as a solubiliser. DISPERAL OS1 is not dispersible in water (< 30 %), aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents. Dispersions in chloroform and the like may be obtained by mixing those solvents with small amounts of acetone or methanol.
