Saudi Industrial Resins Limited is a joint venture between INEOS Composites and private Saudi Arabia shareholders, and is the leading supplier of unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins in the MENA region. In addition to its successful locally-produced Siropol® and Hetron® ranges [manufactured under license from INEOS Composites], SIR distributes a wide range of composite auxiliaries - including glassfibre, catalysts, and accelerators. The company also distributes INEOS Composites Derakane® range. The original plant was completed in 1977 and, since that time, has undergone several capacity- and infrastructure-additions. The plant is totally self-sufficient, and can operate under its own generated electric power, chilled and cooling water, steam, and heating fluids. SIR has manufacturing operations in Jeddah and in Jubail [Eastern Saudi Arabia]. The company owns significant storage capacities, which ensure that regional growth in consumption is matched by availability of cost-effective quality materials. The company is well-supported by the increasing range of petrochemical-based raw materials, produced in Saudi Arabia from low-cost feedstocks. SIR offers technical-service and development capabilities, to guarantee that it continues to be a leader in provision of fit-for-purpose quality materials.
