CeraSPERSE 174 is synthetic wax and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) compounded in refined linseed oil. Shamrock’s CeraSPERSE products are manufactured using a controlled crystallization process that allows the production of 1 micron wax dispersions. These wax compounds have a translucent appearance with a shiny gloss and a creamy feel. In addition to our standard products, Shamrock can develop and produce a wide range of compounds on a make-to-order basis.

Recommended Uses & Known Applications

CeraSPERSE 174 is used in sheetfed inks at a recommended level of 4.0-6.0%. This compound can also be used in UV topcoats. CeraSPERSE 174 is a high performance paste compound that provides excellent rub and slip properties along with good gloss retention. This product has a soft rheology, and will easily and uniformly disperse in lithographic compositions at any stage of the ink processing.
