SST®-3 is a white low MW PTFE micropowder with particle size distribution at a mean value of 5 µm. SST products are Shamrock’s PTFE micropowders that are defined by particle size and distribution molecular weight, crystallinity, surface area, oil adsorption, powder flow, and color. Made primarily from highly controlled recycled PTFE feedstocks, SST products are used for their ability to provide slip, nonstick, water repellency, texture, release, rub, and abrasion resistance to surfaces.

Recommended Uses & Known Applications

SST-3 is recommended for use in offset and liquid inks. SST-3 is also recommended for use in waterbased, solvent-based, powder, and UV coatings at 0.5 – 3.0% of total formula weight then used alone, or at 0.5 – 1.0% when used with 2.0 – 3.0% synthetic wax.
